Manjeet Ark practices acupuncture from private clinics based in the Harborne and Edgbaston areas of Birmingham.

Traditional Acupuncture, as practiced by members of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), is based on Chinese medicine principals that have been developed over 2,500 years.

How does acupuncture work?

Traditional Acupuncture, is holistic and not focused on isolated symptoms. It regards pain and illness, physical or mental, to be a sign of the whole body being out of balance.

In Chinese philosophy the belief is that our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy (Qi) moving through a series of channels which flow beneath our skin. It is this Qi which becomes out of balance and is corrected through the insertion of needles.

Harmony and balance bring about changes physically, mentally and emotionally.
